Air Hostess Training industry in India or the world over is not pretty old.  The first air hostess training institute in India was

established in 1994.  Aviation industry the world over was going over a lump period, hence the air hostess training sector which is directly linked with the aviation industry and its growth, also could not see any major improvements.  However with the aviation industry growing at a rate of 30% in the last 3 years in Indian skies, the required impetus was given to the much neglected air hostess training industry which in turn funneled the growth of many a air hostess training centers across the length and breadth of the country.  However, the air hostess training sector in the country is still unorganised and needs immediate attention by the government to streamline and provide some sort of government accreditation to the courses as well as issue of licenses to trained air hostesses as is done in the case of pilots. Modern airplanes are phenomenal pieces of technology, but they're not worth much if you don't have somebody who can fly them. Air hostess training centres here needs to concentrate on the overall job profile that an air hostess carries out during day to day operations in an airline.  Right now the training standards offered by these air hostess training centres are found wanting in many areas and always unfinished.  It only compounds the problems faced by the airlines.
